International Public Affairs & Strategic Communications

A specific sub-discipline at the intersection of humanitarian action, private sector capacity, and institutional governance. We engage governments, international organisations and donors to create the conditions for humanitarian action, reconstruction delivery, and public-private partnership.

What is Humanitarian Diplomacy & Public Affairs? +

Humanitarian Diplomacy & Public Affairs is the practice of engaging governments, international institutions, and donors to shape policy conditions that enable humanitarian and reconstruction delivery — while simultaneously positioning private sector capacity within public frameworks to achieve shared outcomes.

How do you engage governments on humanitarian policy? +

We engage directly with ministries, EU institutions, and UN bodies — advocating for policy frameworks that enable private sector and NGO delivery. Like the humanitarian diplomacy teams of ICRC, Save the Children, and Médecins Sans Frontières, we create the conditions on the ground for effective delivery.

How do you position private sector within public frameworks? +

We identify and access public procurement and donor frameworks for private sector clients — including EU-funded tendering processes, EBRD and EIB financing windows, and bilateral donor programmes — positioning companies correctly and navigating the institutional process from screening through to contract signature.

What institutional funding mechanisms do you navigate? +

EBRD, EIB, EU reconstruction frameworks, bilateral donors, and UN financing windows — we identify the right mechanism for each client and situation, and manage the positioning and application process through to successful engagement.

How do you build public-private partnerships in reconstruction? +

We structure and facilitate PPP arrangements between private capacity providers and public institutional clients — mapping the right counterparts, negotiating the framework, and managing the relationship through to contract and delivery in post-conflict and reconstruction contexts.
